Spring Meeting of the Confraternity

The first meeting of the Irish Confraternity of Catholic Clergy will take place at the Knock House Hotel from Wednesday 12 March – Thursday 13 March 2014.

6.30pm. Evening Meal

Adoration in the Apparition Chapel until 9pm concluding with Benediction


Thursday, 13 March

8am. Breakfast

9am. 2nd Talk. Most Rev. Philip Boyce, The Priest as Intercessor: Insights from the Life & Writings of Blessed John Henry Newman

10am. Tea/Coffee

10.30am. 3rd Talk. Rev. Jerome Bertram, Cong. Orat., The Challenge of the New Evangelisation

12pm. Holy Mass. Celebrant & homilist: Most Rev. Philip Boyce

1pm. Lunch followed by departure


Please book your place early!

Those wishing to attend are asked to reserve their room by contacting the Knock House Hotel at (094) 9388088 by Friday, 28 February and to quote the special rate for the Conference. The cost of staying at the hotel is €100 and includes use of the Conference facilities, B&B and all meals mentioned above. Alternative accommodation may be arranged (B&B etc) and those doing so are asked to settle with the hotel for dinner and lunch independently. Those using the latter option are asked to notify the secretary of their intention to attend the meeting by emailing secretary@confraternity.ie.

Priests intending to concelebrate the Mass are asked to bring their own vestments (purple), including a chasuble. Those not intending to concelebrate are asked to bring choir dress.
